INVERSO PROFUMI embodies the unique collaboration of two artists, each with a captivating journey that converged in a serendipitous meeting, in a city none of them lived in. Perhaps one of them watched “The Holiday” one too many times...?
Maurizio, an artist in every sense, who had dedicated years to crafting scents for boutique properties and private palazzos across Italy, embarked on a personal quest to create his own line of niche, hand-crafted, small batch perfumes. His efforts were met with unprecedented success and selling out of three productions of his first fragrance SUPERFLUO, the launch of his second masterpiece, and the realization of a dream—a perfume boutique nestled within the historic Palazzo in Palermo's Centro Storico, just as global lockdowns began to ease. It was then, when Kristina and Maurizio’s paths serendipitously converged.​
Kristina's artistic odyssey has garnered widespread recognition, extending its reach to both the grand stages of cinema and the intimate screens of television. Her paintings and photographs graced iconic productions of "Sex and the City", “Mr. Robot”, "Gossip Girl", "Orange is the New Black", "Divorce", among numerous others, etching her creative spirit indelibly into the tapestry of these acclaimed works. In a poignant 2021 interview with the esteemed Italian art critic, Francesca Interlenghi, Kristina talked of her own heritage, tracing the evolution of her distinctive visual language, the influential forces that breathe life into her artistic endeavors, and illuminating the underlying philosophy that continues to inform her process.
Two years later, INVERSO PROFUMI emerged, presenting a Core collection of 8 extraits de parfum, a Limited edition, and "one-of-one" perfumes crafted from the rare oils within Maurizio's private collection, called Artist Proofs.
